Kumihimo is an ancient Japanese form of braiding using multiple strands of cord. In this "modernized" version made on a slotted foam disk, beads have been incorporated to achieve an endless variety of patterns and textures. Kumihimo planning, set up, braiding, and finishing can take several to many hours to complete.
All of my pieces are one of a kind, made from my own patterns and ideas.
