This piece was painted after a mother daughter trip to Sosua Dominican Republic. I was inspired by the landscape at our resort and sketched everyday I was there. During dinner, the sunsets made the water glow as the waves washed up on shore. I used translucent metallic paint to create movement in the waves, causing them to shimmer as you walk by.
